Multi-parametric physiological measurements for sports monitoring

چکیده
Wearable sensor systems have become promising tools in modern health care. Vital signs are recored to monitor the condition of a subject in a continuous manner. In order to assess sports performance and optimize training, as much as possible information on the athlethes condition is helpful. We present a wearable and disposable sensor that measures heart rate, oxygen saturation, pH value, skin moisture and temperature. The sensor is fabricated on a flexible printed circuit board and the different elements are encapsulated in soft and biocompatible polydimethylsiloxane. Surface mount light emitting diodes and photo diodes are used for photoplethysmography and are cointegrated with planar capacitive electrodes for moisture monitoring and a colorimetric pH sensor, based on a sol-gel routine. Different trials of sports performance have been recorded and the results are compared to each other.

متن کاملMobile Multi-parametric Sensor System for Diagnosis of Epilepsy and Brain Related Disorders
Epilepsy is the commonest serious brain disorder, affecting 1-2% of the general population. Epileptic seizures are usually expressed with a wide range of paroxysmal recurring motor, cognitive, autonomic symptoms and EEG changes. Therefore reliable diagnosis requires state of the art monitoring and communication technologies providing real-time, accurate and continuous brain and body multi-param...

AIm: Monitoring of intracranial pressure (ICP), local cerebral blood flow (CBF) and oxygen is part of modern intensive critical care medicine. Preclinical evaluation of newly developed catheters that should monitor several parameters simultaneously is reported poorly in the literature. The goal of our study was (1) to evaluate a new multi-parametric sensor in brain tissue and (2) to establish a...

Bioelectrical Impedance Spectroscopy (BIS) allows assessing the composition of body districts noninvasively and quickly, potentially providing important physiological/clinical information. However, neither portable commercial instruments nor more advanced wearable prototypes simultaneously satisfy the demanding needs of unobtrusively tracking body fluid shifts in different segments simultaneous...
